Chuck Grindel is a software engineer with over 25 years of experience building products for the healthcare, retail, security information management, and manufacturing industries.
Chuck has been an active member of the Bazel community since 2020. He is the creator and primary maintainer for the rules_swift_package_manager ruleset, a Swift gazelle plugin, and the rules_bazel_integration_test ruleset. He is also the implementor of Bazel module support in Mend's Renovate dependency management service. As a member of the Bazel Rules Author SIG, Chuck helped form Community for Bazel, a technical project under the Linux Foundation, and acts as a founding member of the technical steering committee.
